If you have acne-prone skin like me, you’re always looking for a simple, easy, and effective skincare routine that won’t make you breakout. After a lot of searching and a cabinet full of products, I’ve found some great products that will keep your skin clear and fresh without a ton of hassle. I, of course, am not a dermatologist, and recommend you talk to your dermatologist about any products you may want to add to your skincare routine to make sure they’re right for you.
With a cleanser, I want something that will make my skin feel clean without feeling dry. The Bioderma Sebium Gel Cleanser is the only cleansing gel on the market that actually limits the formation of blemishes and oil production in the skin.
It’s important to exfoliate your skin if you are prone to acne. It prevents any buildup of dead skin cells on your face and ensures the products you are using absorb into your skin. This facial scrub is one of my new favorites. The scent on this is out of this world! It’s fresh and nutty and leaves your skin feeling incredibly smooth and soft. They recommend only using this product once or twice a week.
I historically have not regularly used toner but this herbal mint toner is great to splash on your face after you get out of the shower to help wake you up! Toners help prep your skin to receive your moisturizers and serums. This toner has cucumber, mint, and witch hazel which helps reduce redness gives it that fresh, herbal scent!
With any moisturizer, you don’t want it to be too heavy or greasy and worry about it clogging your pores. This moisturizer is lightweight and dries down naturally while hydrating the skin. It also has aloe vera and chamomile to soothe inflammation and redness.
This is a holy-grail product, it simultaneously reduces inflammation and irritation while smoothing the skin and shrinking pores. It also helps prevent future breakouts. The serum is super lightweight, not oily or greasy, and can be worn during the day.
